Why do people focus their hatred on oil companies making 8% profit and not Hedge Funds that make 90% profit?

Because we do not personally donate to the hedge funds on a weekly basis just to get where we are going. Especially when that donation has tripled in the last few years.

What an excellent question! One of the best I have seen here. However not being an American my ability to answer would only be based upon my watching Fox/CNN/CNBC cable and yes............ you got it ...'the media'!

I think that just about answers the question as I have only heard these channels and their relative financial programmes denigrating and bashing the 100% American owned oil companies, their highly paid (and taxed) CEO's and anyone else concerned with oil based profit margins (including stocks and future speculators).

Financial institutions are well protected, the boardroom doors are always locked and no one's at home I guess!
