  1. Well what did Iraq do to USA?!?!?

  2. N Ireland is part of Great Britain so its regiments will fight where the British Army fights.

  3. They are part of the united nations.

  4. because they are part of the british army?

my dad was a catholic from northern ireland, my mum was from eire, their only objections to such ideas was that the army was being used against catholics in the last century.

why shouldn't we be as proud of them as we are of 'english' or 'scottish' soliders, (and the welsh, sorry, almost forgot)xx

  5. Because they're part of the United Nations peacekeeping force.  Iraq did nothing to Ireland, personally.  It's all part of the peacekeeping agreements.  By the way, my son fought in Bosnia, Serbia and Kosovo - they did nothing to us, but he was sent there as part of the peacekeeping force.

  6. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom.

  7. As part of UK, N. Ireland has no choice but follow. The issue that may interest one is to look into what is the percentage of N. Ireland soldiers have been sent to the war zone comparing to British soldiers.  Is there any discrimination there?

  8. Maybe they feel they have to do something to stop the madness/massacre(s) that´s going on in Iraq?

  9. If you take the time to study an atlas you will notice Northern Ireland is part of Great Britain. Therefore soldiers from Ulster regiments fall under the command of the Queen and fight alongside units from the mainland.

  10. Iraq has done nothing on Northern Ireland.  The soldiers from the North of Ireland are paid by the British Armed Forces and not the Defence Forces in the Republic of Ireland.  Hence the Northern Ireland soldiers are working under the auspices of the British.

  11. What did Iraq do to the UK

  12. Northern Ireland forms part of the United Kingdom. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is their ruler and they fight for Her Majesty's Armed Forces.

The Irish Guards , guard Buckingham Palace. You know the ones, big furry hats.
