I have noticed that people who come from the Northern parts have a attitude of superiority towards those in the Southern states. They feel that "southerners" are just really are not all that smart. I have also seen that some will actually treat a Southerners in an unsavory manner openly.

  1. That is a perception not a fact. You should state that some people from the North, not People. All Northerners are not that way.

  2. 1. northerners have an attitude problem.

    2. northerners are smarter.

    3. northerners spend all their time working and being pissed off.

    4. northerners are jealous that southerners seem to live better.

that's my opinion. i'm from new york state.

  3. Never though about it before but you're probably right. Purely psychological. North is on top and south is at the bottom.

  4. Do they? Easily resolved. Turn the map upside down.

  5. I don't find this to be as common as people make it out. I'm in Mississippi, and my first wife was from Boston, and she got along with most people down here, even though she didn't understand many local customs and slang. When we'd go up north to visit the in laws, I only had one case of south hatred.

For those who do feel superior, it is the same with all haters: their ignorance is the source of their arrogance.
