  1. People come to Australia for holidays because we are a cosmopolitan society and speak English. We have a great climate and a large continent to see. The beaches are a drawcard.

Byron Bay isn't a top/top destination. I have never been there. For overseas people I think Qld - Gold Coast and Great Barrier Reef are more popular and then Sydney.

  2. I think people choose Australia as a holiday destination because of our diversity i.e. the outback, the reef, the cultural history, the unique wildlife.

I've been to Byron Bay and it is pretty but it was just so packed and busy! If you're into that scene though you'd love it.  It's a hippie, alternative place but it's just gotten a little too popular for my liking.

  3. I have just been to the blues and roots fest at Byron Bay. On the ten hour drive there I was wondering what the h**l I was travelling so far for, until I got there.

I had the best time ever, Everything about this place is a blast. I met so many people, people that I thought were just a myth. From dreadlocks teens to the elderly they were all there and having a really good time together. The place is laid back and a little hippie with heaps to do for all types of people. In four days I never seen one fight or argument but heaps of drinking was enjoyed by all. This place is a good example of how we can all get along no matter who we are, were we come from or what we look like !

I loved it and will be going back.

    Hope this helps!
