I've heard that it's because of cold/change in temperatures in you body, but how come when some people hear a really good singer, or get scares/something creeps them out, why do people get them then?

  1. We used to be a lot hairier.

Cold - puff hair up to keep you warm

Scare - the"fight or flight" mechanism, puff yourself to make yourself bigger to predators.

    Can't explain the singer...

  2. Our body react to very strange , high pitch or ugly sight of things .

Change of weather condition too have the effect especially at mid nite cold and eerie ....places like at the cemetry...its call Reflex Action or Fear

  3. anything that triggers sensory feelings in the right way i guess. every hair is connected to a small muscle that contracts when triggered, making the hair stand up.

  5. Goose bumps are created when tiny muscles at the base of each hair, known as arrectores pilorum, contract and pull the hair erect. The reflex is started by the sympathetic nervous system, which is in general responsible for many fight-or-flight responses.

It can also happen in cold weather.
