Why do people get upset when there partner has s*x with somebody else? It's no big deal, Everybody does it?

And how long does it last for? An hour? Is it any worse than telling a lie or coming home drunk?

Well it's usually because people conwsider relationships to be "exclusive" unless they have an open relationship which is not common.

Not everybody does it and the 'upset' part does not go away in an hour.

Usually trust is broken after something like this and things don't go back to being the same. Ever.

I think people are basically selfish. When they love someone they just can't share. It is a shame because I know a lot of women that I would just love to have the husband's permission and not feel guilty afterward.

It is not no big deal and everybody does NOT do it. People are faithful to each other, even in this day and age of no responsibility, do whatever you want whenever you want mentality.

Maybe people need to stop settling. You shouldn't accept cheating or lying or coming home drunk. You can find people to have relationships with who are quality and don't do those things.

because when you go out with someone you are supposed to be faithful to one another and not sleep around. and no, not everyone does it. people can get hurt by doing this. unless you are in an open relationship where your partner knows you will be seeing other people and they can as well, then thats not bad.

Lovers should respect each other and not go off s******g around because it's "the thing to do." If both partners are into that then fine. But I think most people like the idea of a meaningful relationship they can share with that one special person.

Because relationships are meant to be a way of being faithfull to another person and showing that you love them. If my boyfriend slept with someone else i would see it as the ultimate betrayal and regard it as him not respecting me and not loving me. No way is it on par with getting drunk.

you might be living in a black hole, but don't assume the rest of the world is the same.

Dig out your dictionary, and look up for "respect", "commitment" and "loyalty" those kind of words, you might learn more from there.

No, not everyone does it. Fidelity comes naturally to me and I find it hard to understand its absence in others.
