Why do people give me thunbs down???

Question

I'm on medication and its not good for people to insult me I am in a very delicate state right now, according to my therapist .Why does the world have to be llike this :( ???

Yea, the thumbs down can be surprisingly insulting but don't let it get to you.

Thumbs down mean people disagree with your answer. It doesn't mean your answer was wrong or right, just that other users disagree.

Perhaps they don't agree with your answers.  If you're serious, you should know that the thumbs option is only opinion, as with anything else on this site.  It has no effect on your life, so ignore it.

P.S.- A thumb down is not an insult.  It's o.k. for people to disagree with you.  It will happen throughout your life.

You need to be aware that when you are given the freedom to state your opinion on an open forum such as the internet, other people are free to show their approval or disapproval of what you've said.  If getting a thumbs down from a stranger on the internet is so traumatic for you at this time, do you not think that it might be best for you to take a break from posting on forums such as this, until you are emotionally stronger...
