Why do people give us a difficult time for being racists?

This really makes me upset because don't they understand that some people are raised that way? Don't they understand that we don't have many friends. It isn't easy living with this.

I mean with all of the suffering that racists go through at the hands of the liberals you would think that people would be sympathetic. Whats worse is that people think that it is a choice. Believe me no one chooses to be this way. It isn't exactly the most glamorous lifestyle.

How easy do you think it is for a racist in the work place?

How easy do you think it is for a racist in college?

How easy do you think it is for a racist in society?

Now perhaps people will realize the difficulty people have living with their bigotry before they judge us. I am working with an attorney that is doing what she can to have us classified as a protected minority group so that we can't loose our job for who we are.

Before you judge realize that we do not enjoy having to live with our bigotry! Its just a part of who we are as racists.

so wait a second I am supposed to sympathize with a person who blames being raised in prejudice as an excuse for not growing as a person? On top of that you want to be protected as a minority group? On what grounds would bigotry be protected? The idea that people who are intolerant being protected from intolerance is laughable. I am sorry, but there is no liberal conspiracy at work my friend, try not blaming others for your feelings and try working on yourself as a person.

How very interesting that in this era of moral relativism, where everyone is entitled to their own opinion and lifestyle, that people still feel they have a right to make judgements about others.

People, what is it you believe, exactly? You can't have your cake and eat it too. Either people are free to make their own choices or they aren't. Which is it???

Your argument doesn't hold water, it is a choice.  Just because you were raised a certain way doesn't mean that you can not change the way you think.  You could easily explore other cultures.  You could learn about history and genetics, you could meet people of different races and realize that not every one fits into a neat little box.  

Where as, being born a minority is not a choice, being born a woman is not a choice nor is sexuality.  I can never wake up one day and decide that I want to be a white male who lives in the US who was born to a family of millionaires.    

If you didn't gain something from being a racist, you wouldn't be one.  It's sad when you cannot have pride in your own personal accomplishments, and you have to ride the coat tails of others to find pride.  I don't hate racists, I just feel sorry for them.

Racism is ugly and has no base. You do choose to be racist. And you deserve to be persecuted for it. Those who judge only deserve to be judged in return. You do not deserve protection, that would be like sexists having legal protections. Which is absolute stupidity. Grow up, and learn a little acceptance. One day a person of the race you hate may save your life. I'm sure then you would forget all about your preconceived notions and petty hate.
