Why do people hate Mormons soo much?

Honestly. I'm 15 and today I honestly thought I was going to be murdered by people at school. I am in catholic school and people constantly take cracks at LDS. Is it because they are afraid of it? Why don't they focus on their religion instead of trying to demote Mormons?

The were not a racist organization ever, there were black mormon members when the the church first started... and that is exactly why people dislike mormons, b/c they dont understand what they are talking about.People write things and people believe it right away... its sad. If you really wanna kno about something do research of the actual religion itself.

One of the reasons they don't like mormons is that they don't understad why we beleive what we beleive. Have you tryed explaining it to them? I'm not like that myself, after all, it's the U.S. of A. and we all have freedom of religon, and I say whatever you beleive is fine by me, as long as we understand each others morals and virtues/values. I agree with what other people are saying. Talk to your teachers/parents/other advisors about it.
