Why do people hate on Celine Dion so much?

I think it's a logical question. So many people are sooo mean about her! I mean, she doesen't have these outragous 'diva demands' like her counterparts, she is just as amazing live as she is pre-recorded, she has given over half a billion dollars to charity, she spends hours after shows greeting fans, is goofy and fun and real in interviews and such- never b*tchy and she isn't gorgeous- she made it to the top and has stayed there on her talent alone not on good looks or s*x/s*x appeal! I don't see why people 'cant stand her' I mean if they don't like her voice or music that is understandable but I see so many places where people just call her a "skinny, ugly, roach." and I just don't get it. So, if you don't like Celine and are someone who has or would say that my question for you is why? I am just so curious about this! It makes no sense in my mind, lol!

Celine Dion alienated many of her fellow Canadians early in her career by refusing a music award because it came from the English community. Celine Dion hails from Quebec and is Francophone, and at one time seemed to espouse the sepoaratist movement in Quebec.This alienated many of her fans, who , to this day, allow the language issue to spoil their appreciation of her talent.

I like her myself. Her song "My Heart will go on" was a big hit in the movie Titanic. One of my favorite movies. She is pretty as well as a good singer. People just like to trash celebrities for no reason.

something about her just turns people off. every celeb has fans and haters. im sure that there is a singer out there that you dont like. wouldnt his/her fans ask the same question about you? you may not be able to find a fault in her but that doesnt mean that others cant

She has sold over 200 million records worldwide, she has a beautiful voice, top notch performer (check out her Vegas shows!). Why anyone would not like her is beyond me. Could be jealousy !!!!
