Why do people hate or dislike....?

preps and jocks so much? is it because they wear name brands and stuff or the popularity factor?? what is it? i am preppy and people just look at my and they are like "OMG you are preppy ugh you like you like own the world and you have a high nose"

i am like "you dont know me just because i wear a brand doesnt make me that way automactically even though i am" and i am like "you stereostype people but hate stereotypes"

ok well personally i hate jocks and preps because they treast me like **** and hate outcasts like me and i do think that hollister,abercrombie ect.... are ugly and all i mean i wear name brand stuff i like tripp and ymi but thats it and i think they flaunt they're money to much

Unfortunately most of the preps ive come in contact with are snobs and jerks. They look down on me cause im "emo". Im not saying there all that way. But the ones ive met are.

you never know maybe they have a job so they can get cute clothes cause some people like they way the brand names look not just cause there "in"

Its all a high school factor. Despite what you say, its human nature to judge someone on their looks. Yes, they may hate you, but they just might hate you to make themselves feel better.

Jocks and Preps are not always hated, and not always liked. Just because you wear hollister, does not make you a prep. Just because you were benched at the last football game, it does not make you a jock and give you a reason to be a jacka** to everyone you meet.

Wear what you like, and ignore what people say. Its high school, people FIND a reason to hate you, its sad to say, but its true.

they think everyone loves them

they loveeeee attention

they think boys only love them

they think they are so popular

sometimes they are rude to the average people and only use them for classwork or something. or when they are alone.

they think they are great at sports.

and so much more.

but not all preps are like that!

they shouldn't judge you like that but a lot of people do that because they think because you wear your brand names and short shorts they asume ur a know it all rude prep.  and preps have not changed!  believe me... at my school they all wear bad stuff and have racoon eye eyeliner.

I don't mean to be rude but his is slightly offensive because I am a cheerleader and I wear name brands Marc Jacobs is my fav but popularity and name brands are'nt everything I just happen to like what I like anyway Preppy is ok I mean I go to a private school where I wear a uniform it's practically a requirement

Like, the moment I start talking people immediately assume I'm spoiled but they really don't know me. It might be a style thing, or they're jealous. But I say if you're a prep or a scene girl, that's cool. Just don't hate! xD

Well, I don't know if you actually know what a 'prep' is. They wear collared shirts, sweaters and cardigans, kind of a golf style.

A lot of people think people who wear Hollister or Abercrombie are preps, but they aren't the same thing.

It's also kind of stupid to call yourself 'preppy'. Its like labeling yourself.

Usually if people wear NOTHING but hollister, abercrombie, or american eagle , it shows that they have no style, creativity, uniqueness, originality...i could go on and on. And the funny thing is, the people who only wear that stuff are the ones who claim they are so fashionable and that brand names make them cool.  But it's not true. THAT is why other people sometimes look down on so called 'preps'.  Also, a lot of people who only wear brand name clothing ( not all of them, but most) will look down on people who DONT wear brand names.

That is pathetic, becuase there are many other places to get clothes that are just as cute. Also, a lot of people can't afford brands like that.

I'm not like that, but usually the people who are always stuck up and bitchy wherever I have gone are preppy and wear name brands.  BUT there are ppl who are very nice and wear name brands.  There are always people who fit every stereotype.  Just like, there are vegetarian black people, but ppl say that black people are obsessed with and love chicken because they are black.  There are bitchy people outside of a school or college who would fit the stereotype of a prep and a jock.  and there are white people who can fit the stereotype of a black ppl or vice versa. since I am olive skinned, this girl told me that I was a stupid mexican, and told me to **** a taco.  I'm not mexican, and even if I was, that is still rude and horrible to say.  Don't be mad or angry.  ppl like that are just immature and stupid. :)

I know! I hate people who think preps and jocks are all stuck up and all that. I'm a prep too :). They should know that preps wayy back were all stuck up, but times have changed! Preps are much nicer now. The preps at my school hang out with skaters etc. It doesn't matter~ Plus we're not all stuck up! And What's wrong with brands? I personally think it's better than a thousand skulls on a black shirt. But thats my opinion. I totally agree with yuo!
