Why do people hate vegetarians??

I dont get it...some people are like i freakin hate vegetarians. im a vegetarian and so is my whole family, but we dont say anything to people who eat meat. i honestly couldnt care less about that. but people are like i hate vegetarians. im like wtf did we do to you?

so please explain that. im 14, so dont be all theres more protein or watever the h**l you mean. just tell me why.

Well, I don't hate Vegetarians, never have hated Vegetarians and never will depending on how they act on what I eat, same goes for Vegans.

As long as they don't tell me what I eat and call me things I wouldn't want to hear. If vegetarians and vegans don't do that then I won't hate them.

Hate, is a strong word though, i'd just say I would dislike people if they said that I shouldn't eat what I want. Be it vegan, vegetarian or other. Other than that I don't mind them as long as I can eat what I want.

I've never met anyone that dislikes vegetarians, ive seen vegetarians and they're good persons. I'm pretty clueless of why people dislikes/hates vegetarians or vegans much. Either that or I wouldn't be pretty glad if somebody I was eating with saw me eating meat and started screaming of that I shouldn't eat meat. Maybe this has happened to other persons but they've been too narrow minded to think that not all vegetarians are like that. They just need to figure out, I bet.

Who knows. I chose to stop eating meat when I was 17. I'm 25 now and to this day I still catch grief for it at every family gathering we have. You'd think that in 8+ years, they would've warmed up to the idea, but apparently it'll take another 8 years before they let it go. The thing is, I've never once said anything to them about eating meat. I dont lecture them or try to change them...All I do is tell them *why* I dont eat meat, and I only do that when they ridicule me, or ask me. Its pretty annoying.. I dont get why people care so much what we do or dont eat.

I don't hate vegetarians.  You are free to eat whatever you want. It is a free country!  I don't think it's right to judge someone on what they eat!

I don't hate vegetarians and indeed, I spent my early years eating vegetarian food to accommodate the needs of a family member. My mother found it easier to treat us all as vegetarians rather than cater separately for one person. But that's the point, isn't it? You're fine in your family -- you all eat the same and I'm sure that you are very healthy. But when you are entertained by carnivores, they may well groan inwardly at the thought of the extra work involved in making sure that you are suitably catered for.

I don't hate vegetarians, I think it's a very noble thing that they're doing. What I do find disrespectful is that there are vegetarians out there who try very hard to evangelize people into becoming vegetarians too, and disses people who prefer meat.

Honestly, it's only when people become radical that they outwardly show hatred towards someone else. If a person who isn't a vegitarian is taking out aggression towards you, it's probably because a vegan who was an extremist got in their face at one point about the "killing of helpless animals just so you can eat" thing. Same with the other way around.

No one does anything to anyone else unless they're just a b*tch because they can't get their own way about something. I eat meat. I was raised to hunt and all that other stuff. But if your opinion is that you don't want to eat it, then that's your perogative and I have nothing against you. I have a couple friends who are vegitarians because they just hate the taste of it. It's their opinions. Not mine. So just know not everyone is like that. Only people who have encountered others of a radical perspective before.

I eat meat, like almost everyday.

I really don't hate vegetarians, they show alot of the same likes as me, i.e. prevention of animal abuse.

But, some times, what annoys me is..

SOME  [not all] vegetarians say they couldn't eat meat because they can't eat anything that was once alive..

Plants are living things too.

they p**p alot of green. Most of the stuff they eat is highly processed and has squid and other random stuff to make up for non meat products, so pretty much your screwed both ways

Well.. I don't hate them because they find meat gross tasting. And I don't hate all of them. I hate the ones on moral high horses that will always say 'That is DISGUSTING..Do you know how they BUTCHERED that animal you are eating right now?.. Meat is murder..You are just contributing' .. I've heard it before and you want to know what I think.. MMMMMMM DELICIOUS MEAT.
