Why do people have animals and not take care of them?

I see so many dumb questions about health of a pet and I want to know why do you have animals or a animal you cant afford a vet for? Its really sad I was just wondering and like those people that post health related questions to answer

SOMETIMES PEOPLE CAN AFFORD THEIR  PETS WHEN THEY GET THEM AND THINGS CHANGE BUT YOU DO YOUR BEST TO CARE FOR THE PETS YOU LOVE JUST LIKE  "THE HUMANS " FEED WATER AND LOVE AND PRAY WE STAY HEALTHY

There are many reasons, for one someone might not have been able to afford the costs of taking care of a dog, one person i knew actually bought a dog, then found out later she was allergic and couldn't keep her. Other things can be from the owner such as working late, getting a promotion and moving, or they get under the influence and forget about their pets. Some things you can't blame people for, like if the dog is too aggresive.

Thet dont realise that pets get sick and expect them to stay healthy and neglect them to save money! So they ask complete strangers for free advice while their pet dies/sufferes or spreads the illness!

I am the 'lady' who told her to keep her comments to herself. My Smokie has been well fed, loved and vaccinated since we've had him. LIKE I SAID BEFORE, my husband and I have run into financial trouble within the past 3 months just needed advice, not be judged. If I have to, I will take out a loan to make sure my cat is okay. Like I previously stated, if you don't have any useful advice, DON'T COMMENT! Thank you kindly. P.S. Thank you "Blue Boys" and "Starr" for understanding what I said in the first place.

I agree just like humans animals need to see a doctor too! I love my animals like they are my children! I dont see why people have animals if they doint have money for a vet bill or medicine!

hay we can ask questions about our pets and just because we ask about them doesn't mean we can't look after them.

maybe their not that bad and the only reason yours are so perfect because you take them to the vet maybe some others can't afford to take them to the vet so they ask people like ask first to see what we think.....

this doesn't happen all of the time... but anyway, m cousin has a pet and they wee really excited when they got it and everything but then found the job of feeding it too gross and told their parents that they fed it when they didn't but they told me so i had to go and tell my aunt and uncle and they took the dog back to the pound................................

i so agree that reminds me of a question i had thanks i hate to see when people have horses that are fenced in when it snows and have no shelter from the snow not a tree ot a stable and they just have to stand there it makes me real sad you know if they could they wouldn't just stand there if they weren't in a fence they would go find shelter so I'm wondering if people can get in trouble for not providing shelter for there horses

we have 3 little dogs 4 cats 6 rabbits and 4 birds everything is up to date they are all well taken care of i worked in a r.s.p.c.a i left i could not handle all the animals getting put to sleep for no reason at all i did understand it had to happen cause there was to many it still isn't fair as for Rights animals have none another thing i get so pissed of when people go to court for mistreat to animals yes they get fine and yes it is alot of money to pay but most of the time they are free to get more animals what so they can do it all over again to them ones the laws need to change

I agree with you about that, people who can not afford the extra cash that animals almost always cost you should not have animals. After you pay the money for a pet I think that a lot of people just figure that's it plus food. Wrong, every animal needs to be able to be vaccinated and seen by a vet.

From working in an animal shelter, I can tell you that the most common reason is that they don't think of pets as living creatures with needs.

So many people get pets as accessories. They just want something that will sit there and look pretty.

I have to try so hard to to slap some people when they come in to surrender their dog because it jumps on the bed, or it escapes (although they never walk it and are at work all day).

Other people are just thoughtless. They don't anticipate vet bill as a part of owning a pet.

I believe that there should be more regulations on owning pets to stop irresponsible people from getting one.

A lot of the time people buy pets for their children. That sickens me. Animals are NOT toys, they are living breathing creatures, sensitive to pain, and they need nurturing and care and are a huge responsibility. And more often than not the novelty wears off for the child, and then the parents are left with the responsibility, and they themselves dont want it.

i know its so bad. my friend keeps buying more and more pets and they die within a week. i think its a greedy and selfish act to do to poor innocent animals.

well sometime thay cant go to the vet(like me) i have wild rabbit that would die with out me and my family.but ppl who went out to buy one and cant afford health for it should have thought twice but yah

i have 2 rabbits and

i lovee them soo much

but i niglet them

i feel soo bad

but i know that if i love it soo much

i have to let it go i just cant

seem to pull myself to do so
