Question:

Why do people have heads?

I would first like to point out that I was not sure whether to post this question under Biology, Physiology, Psychology or Mental Health. Zoologists tell us that when animals walk on four legs, the sensory and information processing material has to be located in the front so that the animal can be aware of the possible danger ahead before proceeding into it. However, in spite of the fact that human beings have a head situated at what would correspond to the front of the spinal column, they continue to take seriously a Scotchman's oracle, accept a Scotchman's offer and ratify a Scotchman's "deal". Even with a head in what supposedly is the right place, humans place themselves in danger in a state of awareness. However, it only takes an arss end for them to walk out of it.

  1. WTF this bit is not making any sense: ", they continue to take seriously a Scotchman's oracle, accept a Scotchman's offer and ratify a Scotchman's "deal". Even with a head in what supposedly is the right place, humans place themselves in danger in a state of awareness. However, it only takes an arss end for them to walk out of it."

Any way the fact that humans evolved from animals that walked on 4 legs may answer ur question

  2. What?

  3. which head?   head of d.i.c.k or normal head?

  4. Would you rather you didn't have one?

  5. Why do YOU think we have heads!?!

  6. lolsolololololololololololololololololol...

  7. lol

  8.   The head is the control center for the body. Kind of like the CPU in a computer.Besides,if we didn`t have heads, where would we wear our hat? What a deep question.

  9. Sensory information is processed to the back and sides (visual is at the *rear* of the brain, occipital lobes (hearing) to the sides, next to the ears). Sensory cortex is kind of in the middle, and processing takes place everywhere but inhibition, and planning and decision making is heavily centered in the frontal and pre-frontal lobes. *Eyes* are located at the front, yes. So we can see where we're going....

Humans do take risks, yes. Where information is processed in the cortex has nothing to do with this. You could swivel the whol brain around and as long as everything is connected properly, we'll act in exactly the same way. Why we take risks... because we don;t percieve them as risky, because we think we can cope with the risk and the gains may outweight the risk. Because we have a bad innate grasp of how probabilities actually work (especially gamblers, they tested it). Because we're impulsive and don't always process all tyhe information fully before proceeding. Because we'rte baised. In the huge range of stupid human behavoirs, there are numerous explaintions for each individual and each situation. Care to be more specific?

Don't use the term "scotchman's" please. Mostly because it's almost never used nowadays and so is more confusing than enlightening. Never mind the offensive connetations.

  10. Usually for thinking, but looking around lately, I guess some people have heads just for wearing hats.
