Why do people in asian countries often have refrigerators with several doors7 compartments?

Hello I wonder why companies like Panasonic or Haier produce refrigerators with 4 to 6! doors especially for the asian market? Do the people there seperate their food so neatly?

I've never seen a refrigerator with 7 doors but keeping certain foods apart may be because of religious beliefs or perhaps the different compartments are at different temperatures.

When I was in Japan, all the refrigerators I remember had only two doors, then some compartments on the inside...like the ones we have in the West.

Usually domestic refrigerator here in my hometown has 1 or 2 doors. Those with 4 to 6 are very big and might be for sea-food company. Asian countries catch a lot of fish, shrimp, etc.

well, i don't think they do it to store drinks, they only drink liquids at room temp
