Why do people in cars try to catch up to or even beat people on motorcycles?

Some people in s**tboxes will race anyone but dont be so sure about that victory.  A bike can take a car in a straight line no problem yes, power to weight but the car has 4 large contact patches on the tires working for it.  It takes a rider with balls to hang with a new Sti on a windy road.  In case you didnt know, a bike cannot stop as fast as a properly braked car.  And no armor or airbags on those two wheels.

Well ,it is so bad .As a biker ,  i have to admit that sometimes we do bring some trouble.but how do they react like this .most of bikers on the bikerkiss.com have the same feeling .We should gain more support from more bikers to fight with such behavour

Most people don't, I see more on bikes doing that to people in cars.

very good question, I have the same problem when im riding my Yamaha FZ6, some fast car like a Mustang will come up behind me and tail gate me, keeping up with me even around the tight curves.

I guess they have to prove to me that their car is just as fast as my bike, they could match my top speed, but they could NEVER match my bikes quick acceleration, all I have to do is downshift 2 gears and goose the throttle and wave bye bye!

I think there is a lot of disrespect going on here.

I've seen both car drivers and motorcycle drivers doing incredibly dangerous things out on the highway.

I don't. Car V motorcycle in a car crash = dead or seriously injured biker. I see too many bikers where I live do stupid **** because they think they're badass and almost kill themselves.
