Why do people in forums seem to always hate it when people spell stuff wrong or use bad grammar?

who really cares whether or not your capitalize your i's, as long as whatever it is is readable.

Because when you only have words to make yourself understood, it is completely moronic not to write as well as you can!  I mean, how hard is it to check you spelling???

proper grammar and spelling is needed to be a success in business and life!  Not doing it shows a lack of education or that that person is simply lazy!

It makes what is being communicated hard to understand. So use proper grammar and spelling!

They don't hate it. Some people are just a*****e who like to give others a hard time. Instead of say, talking about the topic they want to turn into the high school english teacher who cares more about the proper noun than what the conversation is about.

Because correct language shows that you have respect for the group.Correct grammar helps in understanding the question.

They are sweating the SMALL stuff.

It is not ignorance all the time.  Some people actually can spell, but can't type and most don't have the time to spell check because they should be doing something else, like working.  So they may have taken the time to think about the answer, they are also thinking about getting the information in without getting caught!

Here's the problem:  People who ask these questions expect the answers to come from people who have given a few moments of time and thought to their response.  I think it is only fair that the asker also spend a moment or two to compose the question in the most readable form.  If you just dash off a question, without spell-checking or even reading it over, how can you expect people to give you a well thought out answer?
