  1. It's a traditional dress, called galabeya (if it's closed in front), or Abaya (if it's open in front).

Men wear it because it is large and it is practical to wear in the heat. Women also wear it to hide the details of their bodies.

  2. Sorry, I'm not Muslim but I think I know:  To keep them from walking around naked!

  3. Give me one nation in history where its people wore trousers!!

I mean, the Romans wore skirts, Africans wore animal skin, the Amazon people...nuhl!?!?!?!?!

besides,  were the Chinese people the first to wear robes a long time ago? and STILL do as a traditional dress?

At least there's a reason why Arabs wore them and STILL do so as to to carry on the traditions; and above all; the hot weather doesn't allow people to move easily in suits so robes are more comfortable and easy to wear. peace

  4. for good ventilation pursues

  5. men wear galabiyas bec they are loose and allow the air to pass in and out .

if they wear trousers , they feel the heat more .

women have the same reasons and they also want to avoid anything that would show details of their bodies .

but men in Moslem, Arab countries sometimes wear shirts and trousers when they go to their offices , visit , go to formal places .

the women also change into something more  elegant , 2 pieces , etc

it's the heat in our countries .

  6. To confuse you !

  7. This is traditional clothes, many people still wear, it's not "robes", it's called "Galabeya"
