Question:

Why do people insist on screaming "Get in the Hole" every time Tiger hits the ball? Even during a layup shot.

I was at the first and second round of the US Open and people just had to scream that phrase on just about every shot. Even obvious lay-ups. Jeez people just stop it already. It's tired and annoying. Do you actually get off telling your friends "That was me screaming get in the hole". Gee, really which one?

  1. Because they haven't been laid in a while.

  2. Because they want to be heard on the replay when Tiger does the impossible!

  3. People are idiots, it's not just when Tiger is hitting, its just about every shot when the gallery is that big, actually so many people say it that you cant even tell what they are saying, just a cacauphany of noise.

  4. It's their version of "Look at Me! Look at me!". May be alcohol related.

  5. They think they are funny. They aren't.

  6. LOL ... This is the downside to the popularity of Tiger.  Before Tiger was the main man out there, Golf tournaments and the fans they attracted were more ... how shall I put this ... sophisticated. Tiger opened up the door to beer swilling, bleacher creature, blue collar, "get in the hole" yelling imbicile who just doesn't understand the game or the ettiquite associated with it.  Just like in the movie "Happy Gilmore"  ... Troglodytes! ... Also, it sounds so moronic, especially from the tee on a 550 yard par 5.

  7. people lik to kiss tigers *** cuz look at him hes lik a god
