  1. You're not complaining about nothing.  People obviously have no time on their hands.  Don't let what others say get to you!  They're just jealous, I used to hate hearing that, but it's very true.  They want to be just like you.  Not only that, people hate what they do not know or understand.  Took me a lont time to figure that out.  Think about it, we don't know about a lot of other cultures, so we judge them and call them weird.  But if we sat down to get to know someone from that culture, we'd think completely different.  Just don't let it bother you honey.  People are ignorant.

  2. Peope say that to me too, I mean sheesh, I wear a bit of makeup! Doesnt make me a 's**t' or 'insecure'. It's just because I'm girly, I like makeup :)

Those girls are just JEALOUS! :)

Hey can you help me with a hair dilemma? Thankyou :) Here's the link: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  3. Ahhh I feel strongly about the same thing!!! It's like stereotyping! If someone wears lots of makeup, they HAVE to be girly!!! I hate hate hate hate hate stereotyping, in fact I wrote a report on it! haha. It's like one of the things i feel super strongly about. I think I will post it >:] It does have copyright, though (dad's a lawyer) so no stealing!

“I know you’re a gossipy person… but you can’t tell my secret!” my friend said to me one day after class. I stared at her long and hard. I know that I wore girlier clothes than she, and I sometimes hung out with my “popular” friends, but that didn’t mean anything about my ability to keep secrets. I was very upset at her quick judgement of me, simply based upon what I looked like and who I hung out with. Another time, my friend was asking me about a different friend of mine, who is considered darker than most because she wears dark clothes.

“Are you guys, like, best friends?” she asked me.

“No, but we’re close.” I replied. A few seconds went buy.

“Okay. Just… promise me you wont be like her in high school.” She finally said. This struck me as odd as well. The friend I was talking to had never met my “dark friend, and didn’t know anything about her. Why did she assume she was going to do bad things in high school? The answer to both of these is simple. Stereotypes. We have become so used to them, that when we see someone wearing dark clothes, we immediately cower away. When we see a girl wearing a lot of makeup and an expensive pair of jeans, we assume she is spoiled and mean, so we avoid her. Most of us don’t even realize it, but our brains keep us away from different people without us having to think about it. This is just how much stereotypes have embedded themselves in our lives. Their power is fearsome. They can isolate children simply because they wear glasses, or enjoy playing sports. They decide who we should hang out with, and what we should do. Stereotypes are the most powerful type of peer pressure.

Personally, I hate stereotypes. I mean, I know in acting sometimes a stereotype is needed to make the play either more fun or interesting, but that is no excuse for us to use them in everyday life. To judge a person by what they wear, or who they hang out with… it’s wrong. People should be able to wear what they like, and have the friends that they choose, without being judged by people who have never talked to them. I have several friends who would fit into stereotypical groups by what they look like… but their actually personality is so different! I mean, if we could all just wait to judge people after we met them… think of how different the world would be. But this will be hard to achieve! I myself have found that I was judging a person unfairly because they were really pretty, or because they wore different clothes. I hardly even realized it, until much later. But I believe that if we forget stereotypes, and wait to judge people after we meet them, the world will be a better place.

hah yeahhh.... i don't know who was bored enough to read that, but yupp I agree I can't stand it when people judge other people before even getting to know them!!!

  4. Yes people judge but you should ignore them or say something back to them.

  5. Anyone that writes "DON'T JUDGE ME" is a hypocrite.

  6. You shouldn't worry about people like that, honestly  anyone who can look at your picture and say those mean things is obviously self consious about themselves.

your really pretty and you shouldn't let people tell you otherwise.

  7. Yes people judge, you also judge! I do too. But it's great you got a strong will and backbone, never let that go and stand your ground :)

  8. just don't pay attention to them, as most of them are jealous of pretty girls like you.

  9. And why do we care?

    I don't judge people anyways...and no I didn't judge you either.

  10. girls are just haters :)
