  1. They are recognizing it is just the revealing of the antichrist at the middle of what Jews and Christians call the Tribulation. If you believe or not, that is up to you.

    Things to look for:

The fall of America as a power economically and in other ways.

The start of the North American Union.

Push to one world government (i.e. The New World Order).

Push to one world religion where there are "manys ways to God".

    More food shortages and famines.

    More earth quakes.

    More fires.

    Strange and severe weather.

Push for USA and Israel to attack Iran which will start WW3-the atomic war to end all wars. (If you think China, Russia, and the Muslim world would just sit back, you are sadly mistaken and a fool!)

Temporary and unheard of "peace in the middle east".

Rise of a miraculous and awe inspiring world leader later to turn world dictator.

    Major spiritual awakenings.

    Rise of Islamic fanaticism.

Toleration of everything but Jews and Christians.

    Rise in wickedness and corruption.

Implementation of Project Bluebeam (be ready to hear more and more 'alien talk'... watch your local skies for the show!)

Trying to make people first accept the REAL ID card and then right after force people to take these:

2012 has been the end of this Age prophecy of many religions, cultures, and people all through the world.

Christians and Messianic Jews look forward to this as it means they will soon join their Messianic Saviour in the Millennial Kingdom of the next Age and their Heavenly Father later as "Children of Light".

Research all these things FOR YOURSELF!

  2. People keep asking about 2012 for the same reasons people kept asking about the end of the world 5000 years ago - people are afraid of dying and for some reason "knowing" when seems to give them some measure of comfort.

  3. thats when the mayan calender mysteriously ends. on 12/21/12. its also my 19th birthday

  4. Because they don't know how to use the Yahoo search function or they are just looking for attention.  Remember guys, not all attention is good attention.

  5. 75% Trolls

  8. Many people are just hearing it for the first time and, until they learn the truth, it scares them.

The calendar we use is the Gregorian calendar, which  doesn't correspond with the Mayan calendar.

The calendar currently in worldwide use for secular purposes based on a cycle of 400 years comprising 146,097 days, giving a year of average length 365.2425 days. The Gregorian calendar is a modification of the Julian calendar in which leap years are omitted in years divisible  by 100 but not divisible  by 400. By this rule, the year 1900 was not a leap year (1900 is divisible by 100 and not divisible by 400), but the year 2000 will be a leap year (2000 is divisible  by 400).

The Gregorian calendar was constructed to give a close approximation to the tropical year, which is the actual length of time it takes for the Earth to complete one orbit around the Sun.

The Julian calendar was switched over to the Gregorian starting in 1582, at which point the 10 day difference between the actual time of year and traditional time of year on which calendrical events occurred became intolerable. The switchover was bitterly opposed by much of the populace, who feared it was attempt by landlords to cheat then out of a week and a half's rent. However, when Pope Gregory XIII decreed that the day after October 4, 1582 would be October 15, 1582, the Catholic countries of France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy complied. Various Catholic German countries (Germany was not yet unified), Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland followed suit within a year or two, and Hungary followed in 1587.

Because of the Pope's decree, the reform of the Julian calendar came to be known as the Gregorian calendar. However, the rest of Europe did not follow suit for more than a century.

The Protestant German countries adopted the Gregorian reform in 1700. By this time, the calendar trailed the seasons by 11 days. England (and the American colonies) finally followed suit in 1752, and Wednesday, September 2, 1752 was immediately followed by Thursday, September 14, 1752.

The Mayan Calendar was done in cycles, and the December 21, 2012 date by the Gregorian calendar is the end of the last cycle that they got done.

  9. In the Aztec calender says that 2012 when the end of the world is going to happen. but some people say the world will end when God chooses to end it. Then you got scientists who believe that the world will end by some cosmic event.

  10. There must have been some special on the evening news.  I can see it now...

2012: The End of the World?  Fox news reports...

Now what I'm wondering is why it all keeps ending up in the Astronomy and Space category.  Isn't there an astrology or paranormal or other non-science category we can put these questions in?
