  1. Yeah. And the Queen is the Queen because she's decended from King David and annointed by God. The titles of the royal family are all subject to a bit of reality suspension.

  2. She was the mother of the future King of course she kept the title Princess because had she lived she would have become the Kings mother.

  3. Here is some info on "styles" according to wikipedia and corroborated on the official UK govt websites with information on the royals.

    Titles

1961-1975: The Honourable Diana Frances Spencer

1975-1981: The Lady Diana Frances Spencer

1981-1996: Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales

    1996-1997: Diana, Princess of Wales

    Styles

Posthumously, as in life, she is most popularly referred to as "Princess Diana", a title she never held. She is still sometimes referred to in the media as "Lady Diana Spencer", or simply as "Lady Di". After Tony Blair's famous speech she is also referred to as the People's Princess.

Diana's full style, while married, was Her Royal Highness The Princess Charles Philip Arthur George, Princess of Wales and Countess of Chester, Duchess of Cornwall, Duchess of Rothesay, Countess of Carrick, Baroness of Renfrew, Lady of the Isles, Princess of Scotland.

The only title taken away after the divorce was the Her Royal Highness HRH

  4. R.I.P diana let her rest in peace.

  5. You can call her what you like, she will always be a princess to me....

  6. Did she not retain the title Diana, Princess of Wales?!!!!!!!

  7. She was not Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales anymore (she DID lose the title), but she was entitled to use the style Diana, Princess of Wales.  Camilla is presently entitled to use HRH The Princess of Wales, but refrains and uses a subsidiary title because the public would go absolutely bats**t over it.

Same deal with Sarah, Duchess of York.  If the Duke remarries, Sarah would remain Sarah, Duchess of York while the present wife would be HRH The Duchess of York.

  8. What harm are they doing?

  9. she never lost her title princess and never will.

she was the peoples princess and will always remain as that.

    R.I.P. diana

  10. You are wrong and right at the same time. The title she had removed was HRH, not princess.

Her official title after her divorce was simply Diana, Princess of Wales. Not HRH the Princess of Wales.

Without the HRH she was officially a non-royal.

  11. She kept the title Princess even though she was divorced and the title will not go to Camilla when or if Charles becomes King.

  12. No, I think you are wrong there.  She was married to a Prince and the mother of two Princes and so therefore the title stayed with her, despite the divorce from Charles.

  13. that's a really good question! No I'm not sure....hmmmmmmmm I'll look into that and let u know, k?

  14. That was unfair to take her title away.

  15. Doesn't matter she was the people's princess all the same and always will be.

  16. You are wrong. When she divorced Charles she lost the title "Royal Highness" She was allowed to keep the title " Princess of Wales" She could still live in Kensington Palace and was still considered part of the Royal Family.

  17. who cares???
