Why do people keep digging up stuff about Diana?

Diana has become big business for some, and they aren't willing to let her go. Like Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and others who died young in 'tragic' circumstances, she has become a figure of the imagination, an icon about which anything can be said. And, as most of the people talking about her never even saw her in real life, there's no-one to say right or wrong. In another ten years she'll be in those awful bar room paintings of Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and other playing pool together. It's a kind of fake nostalgia.

For the senior Fayed however, I believe he is grieving for his son. He'd like to be revenged, and believes that by doing so he will come closer to his lost boy. Unfortunately, as so many have discovered before him, it just doesn't work that way. Nothing will bring his son back to him.

Because Diana is a business. Look at how many people make money off her? She's been dead for 10 years and people are still coming up with/making up news about her. It's very simple: it's profit-driven.

This seems to happen to All charismatic figures -- people want to know more about them as time goes on-- sadly, as time goes on it becomes more difficuult sometimes to separate fact from fiction.

Those are the ones who can't let go and leave alone.  They are always having to have that paddle in that pot stirring up the dirt and rumors, etc just for the sake of drama, drama, drama.  Then again that question is a good one for those who keep bringing up a lot of those who have died a long time ago ... Elvis is a good example.
