Why do people keep eating takeaway, if it doesn't make you feel good?

I find these days, unless I eat basic, healthy food, I just feel sick. I'm told it could be for many reasons, like lack of hygiene, or high salt content. Yet they are promoted as though are a source of happiness, (MacDonalds, KFC).

  3. People eat these food because it tastes good to them and they like it.  

  4. I so agree with you. When I stopped eating take away rubbish I felt so much better. My body feels healthier. I think it's the high fat content, salt and it's just to bulky - no fresh greens or fruit. Promotion of these products is just "brain washing" for a better word. People are sucked in by them everyday. At first, people feel ok and unless they are like us, they end up sick from it. I have no doubt. It's just easy, fast food, for a lazy population (including myself). People need to open their eyes up to what is being put in our food, water and air, these days and not be blinded by ADVERTISING.

  6. Many of ingredients in today's fast food are deliberately added to encourage addiction. Sugar, sodium, as well as specific additives that trick the brain into believing it needs more, even though when you eat it the fat content can make you feel sick. Not to mention the advertising that you just can't escape.

    People like you and I who enjoy eating healthy food without the additives, fat, sugar, and sodium, find that these foods effect our body in a greater way than those who eat them regularly as our body is used to dealing with food that is easy to digest.

    Of course those foods are promoted as a source of happiness, I don't think the truth is very good advertising for these huge corporate companies!

  7. People eat food like McDonalds and KFC because it's cheap and you get it fast. If you usually eat only healthy food, you're reaction to the salt, fat content would be different to others. You'll feel like you've been kicked in the stomach because you're body isn't used to it. Some people like it, some don't.

    I ate junk food for 11 years. I had my first taste of Mcd's when I was 14 and I loved it. I'd eat it once a month and then as I moved out of home and got a job I had no time to cook so it was something I ate once a week and then to (sometimes) up 5 times a week. I knew it was bad for me. I never felt sick.

    Now when I eat it (on very rare occasions) I feel sick afterwards. I guess my body is use to a low salt healthy diet that when I eat that c**p I feel sick.
