Why do people keep saying Obama will raise your taxes?

According to this analysis from CNN BOTH Obama and McCain have plans will that LOWER taxes for almost all Americans. Where does the blatant lie come from that taxes will be increased?

Oh geez- Bush throws you guys a bone in the form of a single $300.00 check to keep you pacified and believing that he's cutting taxes for everyone, and you fall for it hook, line, and sinker. WAKE UP!!!!!!!!! Nothing has changed, and if you aren't making upwards of $500,000/yr or more, you have nothing to gain from Bush tax cuts. You should be more concerned with what your tax money is being used for. All Obama would need to do is shift and redistribute tax money from defense to things like education and health care, and we'd be hooked up. Oh, and he needs to start calling corporations to the tax table to pay their share of taxes- doing that really would give us little guys a break. Those are the tax cuts you hear Bush talking about- they are for corporations and other big wheels in society. Believe it or not, little guys have nothing to gain from his tax cuts. It doesn't seem to be that way, but it is true.

Obama's tax plan identifies middle class "Americans" as those earning between 30K and 50K

People making over 50K will see a significant tax increase under Obama's plan.

McCain identifies people making up to 250K as middle class.

PS: If you understand statistical curve multi-modality you can check out income charts at census.gov and understand why "middle class" is so hard to define.  I believe we need a legal definition of "middle class".

The first thing Obama said he would do is let the Bush tax cuts expire.  That is a tax increase.  He said it.  This is the truth.  Also, with all his spending increases he will have to raise taxes just to pay for them.  When he says he will lower taxes he is the one doing the lying.

Capital gains is a tax increase (including real estate), raising SS limits is a tax increase, reversing the Bush tax cuts is another increase.

Do you really think his estimated $1 trillion in new spending will not result in additional taxes?  Taxpolicy center estimates Obama's spending to add $3.4 TRILLION to the national debt.

Aside from directly being taxed, the employee/consumer is always the victim of higher taxes as it results in either layoffs (to cut expenses) or increased prices.

So the Communist New Network says it,therefore it must be true. Of course Obama has said he will get rid of the Bush Tax Cuts,well that raises my Taxes.And he plans on trying to Implement Universal Health Care,that raises Everybody's taxes significantly,no way around it. And that doesn't even include the other 500 billion in New Spending he's proposing,where's that money coming from?

Of course the easiest way to look at it is History,what Democrat has ever lowered Taxes.Anyone?

Because Obama WILL raise taxes on all Americans.  He has stated several times that he will allow the Bush tax cuts to expire and that means we will ALL be paying higher taxes, as a matter of fact millions of Americans who currently pay no income taxes will be once the cuts expire..

He is a classic tax and spend liberal, he comes from the mode of Jimmy Carter. I suggest you look up Capitalism and the role of government,and look up socialism you will see what he is going to do.You don,t offer programs and expect it to be paid by the Government when the Government does not make wealth never has.
