Why do people keep saying Palin has more executive experience, therefore she's more experienced?

People keep saying she has more executive experience than Obama and Biden, therefore she is better.

Well, under than argument, she also has more experience than McCain himself, Ted Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln before he was elected, and several others, JUST BECAUSE she was a governer for 20 months.

So now, senate experience means nothing?

  1. Well she actually spent almost the entire TWO years actually doing her job as Governor of Alaska so thats about 700 days which is 550 more days then the Beloved Obama has actually worked in the US Senate.  Thats right in almost four years  as a US Senator Mr Obama has been present for duty exactly 147 days.  Such a servant of the people isnt he?  No actually hes a self serving flunky of his leftist masters.

  2. You can best answer that question by finding out how many of our presidents were elected after spending time in the Senate.

  3. It's called "grasping at straws", and it the chosen strategy of losers and teams staring at impending doom.

  4. Um, because she does have more experience than Obama.  She was a governor for two years and Obama has only been a JUNIOR senator and she's NOT running for president.  I prefer someone with experience and McCain has that experience a lt more than Obama by far.

    McCain IS YOUR new president.

  5. Silliness. I won't dispute the years or her accomplishments, but I'll criticize the quality of that experience.

Mayor for 10 years -town of less than 10,000.

Governor for almost 2 years - state of less than 700,000 (smaller than san bernadino)

    Education - BA in Communications

    National experience - none.

    Foreign policy experience - none.

  6. Who said that?

People say she has more experience than Obama.  Which is a fact.

Making up lies by exaggerating isn't going to help your sinking ship.

  7. Sarah Palin's mayoral experience in small middle of nowhere Wasilla is equivalent to winning at Monopoly...

  8. obama is about a qaulified as my labradore. 145 days in the senate, and 130 votes of present. either you are blind, deaf and stupid or u understand he has almost no experience at all.

  9. i believe the politically correct expression is they are "intellectually challenged".

  10. Palin is the only one with executive experience.  The Presidency is an executive position, not a legislative one.  No one's saying that experience in the Senate doesn't count, but Obama only spent just over 140 days in the US Senate.  He also has a poor record, as he voted present 130 times while in the IL Senate.  He was paid to represent his constituency, not to be a slack as$ and vote present.  It indicates his refusal or inability to make tough decisions.

  11. obama AND bidin, both senators= no executive experience

  12. well.. what exactly do senators do that relates to leadership and making the tough decisions on their own?     They don't even have to work if they don't want to. Look at how many non votes they have.  And they do everything in groups, making individual Senators less responsible for their own actions since it just gets mixed up in the whole group.

It's not that Senators have no experience, but it's really not the kind of experience that would be most appropriate to the position of president or vice president.   Senators rarely lead anything and their decision-making primarily is limited to participating in votes.  Combine that with the horrible job that Congress has been doing and we're not left with much experience of any value.

  13. i know she's creative.

she called her kids, bristol, willow, track, & trigg.

theres another one but i can't remember.
