  1. teams have won three competitions in a season before but not these big three. For example, the Llanelli Scarlets have a video out about their trebble winning season in 1993, when they won the Welsh league and cup and beat the world champions, Australia but there wasn't a european cup back then.

  2. chances are most people who use "unprecedented" simply are not aware that Leicster achieved this 2001.

Obviously some may simply not understand unprecedented!

P.S saw this a newspaper last week :

Fact : No player has ever been sent off in a Champions League Final.

wonder what a certain Mr. Lehman thought of this.

  3. What treble would that be ???????????????

    we didn't win the EDF

We came top of the league winning the Zurich Plate

We won the play offs winning the Zurich Cup

And of course we won the Heineken Cup

but does that count as THE treble as two of the wins are in the same event ??? ie. a Zurich competition
