  1. the human digestive tract was made to adapt to an omnivorous diet, in others words, we function best and "survive" best when we have a varied diet which includes animal protiens.

  2. The question answers itself - for survival, self preservation etc.

More troublesome that people kill people not for survival!

  3. You answered your own question with the last 2 words.  "For survival".  I'm sure you can add the few details you need to get a decent grade on your own without having to copy the answers from someone on the internet.

  4. Interesting project. Are you along in the wilds and with no food? Animal protein and fat gives you some of the best energy and ability to survive the aliments. Plants require you identify the edible ones, sort out the poisonous, and gather enough to make a meal.

It's amazing the calorie cost to calorie reward when you trap. Set up several deadfalls, then checking them daily doesn't cost much in energy. That's opposed to trying to pick enough berries (if in season, if not picked over and if non-poisonous) or standing in cold water trying to pull up cattail roots (try eating them raw)

I once was in a helicopter that had to land due to bad weather. The pilot hiked out to call the post and returned with some hamburgers. There were a couple of the group that refused to eat meat! Picture: we're up in the mountains, it's d**n cold, raining, and these guys are finicky eaters? I ate their share and felt much better. They shivered.

In a survival situation you eat anything you can find.

  5. you answered your own question....FOR SURVIVAL!

  6. By utilizing domestic animals such as cows, people could live in grasslands, for example.  The cows convert the native grass and plants to pounds of meat and humans used that meat for food.   Ranching is similar to farming except that the domestic animals don't necessarily require speciallized plants that are more labor intensive to supply.  They can be grazed on marginal land.

  7. survival of the fittest...

    kill or be killed

we ALL need to eat for energy and nutrition....

meat is a good source of energy...

  8. its not for survival.

its because their fat *** is hungry.

  9. to survive, animals are used for food, clothing, everything, even non survival stuff like jewelry, decorations....

back in the old days when it was the norm to worship many gods, killing or sacrificing animals to appease the gods was a frequent ritual.  without making the gods happy, many things would befall the peoples like famine, drought, disease.  the ancient people thought they angered the gods somehow when bad things would happen and sacrificed many animals.  they even did it just to KEEP the gods happy.  it was a common practice
