Why do people laugh? ?

Whenever someone asks me if I'm going out with anyone or who was my last ex or something and I say that I've never had a bf before, they start laughing or they're really shocked. What's so funny about it anyway? I'm only barely turning 14, am I supposed to have like 10?

What's so funny/shocking not ever having one?

I have never had a b/f either...I'm 15. There is a guy I really like but I'm not rushing into anything. There is no point.

The people only laugh because they feel they HAVE to have a guy just to feel loved or confident. They put personal value on what guys think, or how many guys they can get...

I'm waiting for my future husband...I see NO point in dating around, it is just a way to fall into something horrible.

Not funny at all. You're young you shouldn't have like 10 bf by that age.

Not surprising to me at all. I had my first gf late at age 17.

Stay away from boyfriends.

People laugh for different reasons.My mom used to laugh when she was afraid.Some people laugh when they are confused.I laugh every time I make something and it breaks,or I drop it,I have learned to roll with the punches.It's healthy to laugh at yourself and not to take yourself so seriously.

Hmmm...I really don't know, it's dumb on their part though because there is absolutely nothing funny or wrong about you not having a boyfriend yet. Actually, though this isn't how I did things in high school, I recommend not getting a boyfriend till at LEAST your senior year. Even then the guys are still screwy. Focus on yourself right now!

I'm 17 and I never had a boyfriend but I'm not a friendly person and I get easily bored with people.

Just ignore them. Time will come when you will have a boyfriend and don't get one just because they laugh.
