People leaving a girl child was terrific earlier. Now it has reduced to a vast extent. Earlier, a girl was a burden to the family because:

- She never did a job, so her education was a burden and a waste to parents

- Her parents had to give a large sum of dowry for her marriage

- They had to spend clothes, jewellery and everything on her while she was totally unproductive (in terms of finance)

- They had to give her security throughout their life, before and even after marriage

- If she was left out by her husband or if he died, she couldn't marry another person, so she had to stay with her parents as a widow, a burden again

Who would want to carry so much of burden and pain? So this problem was common.

But now...

- Girls are educated

- They are independent

- They are able to run the whole show single-handed

- They dont need the security of a man, neither a husband

- They are able to work at a young age and establish careers

- They know how to maintain finance as well as relationships

- They are dual-handed - they can be a mother as well as a successful business woman

People like Sushmita Sen and many world famous actresses are indeed adopting girls. Earlier, it was difficult for a girl to get married; now it's the turn of a boy - its true!

Female infanticide will soon cease... dont worry.
