It is so annoying. I was at lunch and one of my really good friends who is black was at the bake sale table because the step team at our school is trying to raise money. so i went over and i gave her a 5 and only bought one cupcake, because hey its for a good cause. i was like thanks b*tch cuz we call each other that (i know its stupid but thats not the point of this) and we were laughing and having a good time. then this girl mia who is also black came up to me and said " i dont know what you little white girls call each other, but we dont call each other b*tches" all ignorant and stuff. i was sooo pi*sed off. like, it totally wasnt about race at ALL! why do people insist on making everything about race?!?! it drives me crazy! also, how come youre deemed racist if you dont want to vote for obama?! i wore a Ron Paul shirt to school and this kid in my english class started calling me racist and stuff. im the least racist person ever ; COLOR OF SKIN DOESNT MATTER TO ME. like WHAT THE h**l???????

sorry i ranted. but any input would be nice. even if its rude, idc youre entitled to your own opinion.

  1. it's just sterotypes that goes along with it. It just that for example: in sports Black ppl are hella good at track and field, baseball, football, boxing, and etc, but the suck at swimming, ping pong, tennis and such. lol.

  2. I wish I had an answer for you. I wouldn't vote for any man who has done cocaine and smoked pot. I mean what if he gets the urge to do it again as President he can do anything. He's always saying that Mr. Cain has voted for this or that but the ad never says what he voted for, why cause he's only a Junior senator and most of that time he's been running for office of the President. Oh don't I wish we could have an experience man to be in office and I don't give a d**n what color his skin is. BTW, I hate his name. But I could go on and on about how the black folk are always saying something about what happened to them. We are beginning to be the minority so I hope you and your friends have lots of kids so we can build the white race back up. NOW THAT'S A RACIST STATEMENT.  I don't care if I do get thumbs down or yahoo decides to shut me down. Go ahead I have an opinion just like everyone else. Some of my best friends are of different color than I am.  They are intelligent and don't like the racist c**p either, I mean, come on, why blame us for what our ancestors did? Right?

  3. Debbie you are benefiting from what your ancestors have done to enslave other people. If you are not apart of the solution, then you are apart of the problem. Also, you will never know what it's like to be black. Or the struggles that we go through and frankly you probably don't care.

What's so sad is that we are upon one of the biggest elections in history, we are still in Iraq, China is buying up everything and we in this country are still stuck on race. It's a been a major distraction in this country and it has held this country back for the longest. Surprise, racism still exists. Maybe not for you but it sure does for me.

I had a friend in high school that was white. We worked together after school. I would say, "What's up, White girl" and she would say, "What's up, Black girl." We thought it was funny regardless of what other people thought. Just be yourself.

  4. I think "race" DOES matter to you. Because, if "race" DIDN'T matter to you (as you state), you would NOT have mentioned Mia's "race", as it wouldn't or shouldn't matter that she was black.

Maybe you DON'T racially discriminate and you see all races as equals! THAT's great for you.

Fact is, "race" IS and will likely ALWAYS BE an issue in the U.S. as the U.S. is a melting pot of multi-racial and multi-cultural citizens & immigrants. Few other nations are as racially and culturally diverse. With this enormous diversity, comes bigotry, racism, and intolerance...including, but not limited to, religious intolerance!

Most other countries are not comprised of various races, ethnicities, or cultures! Therefore, most other countries do NOT face racism as much within their own borders. Most other countries experience "racism" when dealing with OTHER countries!

Here, in America, we are also plagued by "Political Correctness"; the idiotic belief (I think you can tell where I stand on this subject) that one must NEVER say anything that may possibly be construed as "offensive"; whether deliberate or not!

My point is, the COLOR of one's skin DOES MATTER TO you! You just don't USE one's skin color as a reason to hate or treat indifferently! THAT'S a good thing.

Anyway, I think you are on the right road...but "racism" is NOT going away anytimie soon! at least not in the U.S.A.....sad, but reality!

You should continue treating all people with respect regardless of their skin color.
