Why do people like big brother??

I don't want to upset people as i have noticed that quite a few questions are based on that show, But personally I think its Trash its awfull i cant understand the attraction, i don't even know anyone who waches the show but its all over the media, Am i missing something or are they (the people who wach it) ??

I am 20, and I have watched Big Brother since season 3.  So...I am a big fan of BB.  I watch the show because it is fun to pick out 2 or 3 houseguests from the beginning of the show, and watch to see if your picked houseguests win.  I also watch the show because it is VERY entertaining.  The people backstab each other and lie to one another so they can win half a million dollars.  Some houseguests form alliances to advance in the game, while some houseguests try to "lay low and float" through the game until the very end.  Last night, the Head of Household turned a joke into a full blown-out-of-proportion argument between other two houseguests.  It was hilarious.  The majority of the women in the house are COMPLETE IDIOTS.  (No offense to women at all.)  And there is a 75 year old houseguest who thinks just because he is a Veitnam Vet, that he is in control of the game...he thinks he is being sneaky, but in reality he is a mean old man, and none of the other houseguests like him.  Every Thursday night, the houseguests vote 1 of their fellow houseguests out of the house.  It comes on CBS on Thursday at 7 o'clock central.  You should try it out, you might like it!

well you get it or you don't, people think its just about watching folk in a house but its not its much much more than that.

its about people and how they inter-react the things people do that most of the time they don't even know they are doing it, how some become Friends and other end up hating one another its really about life and peoples inner strength's and how some times people go in thinking they are strong only to find out with out there friends they are in-fact weak.

i just love it but then i hate Easterners

Basically it is liked by people who don't form relationships easily, They can watch the show and feel they are interacting.

It is a well known psychological reason for people who watch "reality" shows.
