Why do people like the Wii, it is far inferior to the PS3 or Xbox 360.

Question

Ive had all 3 systems and the Wii sucked, with the exception of Zelda. I sold my Wii on Ebay oly 2 weeks after having it.

the xbox 360 and ps3 both sucks the wii is the best and the ps3 and xbox 360 just break and have a lots of problems and the wii never overheats the xbox 360 you have to pay for everything and the ps3 blu ray is okay but the sixaxis is $hit.And the wii has the best gameplay all the ps3 and xbox 360 have is graphics which get  boring both the xbox 360 and ps3 controllers suck the wiis is the best.

I dont like the wii i have a ps3 and wii and i can say my wii is collecting dust because it isn't really fun and there is no good games except for twilight princess. I dont play my wii anymore because i dont expect any fun games to come out for it. Wii owners are always gonna say "well games dont have to be fun with blood and gore" but that is a excuse because the wii hardly have any except for no more heroes which is the the same thing as killer 7 and resident evil for the wii sucks. Also many wii owners are looking forward to the conduit but seriously who gives a d**n about it because its a halo version of the original perfect dark

The wii is the biggest console because nintendo is selling to everyone.  It is simple so everyone from young kids to elder peolple can play it.  It also sells to women because of the casual gaming. More women above the age of 18 play video games than males under the age of 18 (see reference). Also It sells to families.  Most of its killer aps aren't rated M (games that sell the system like halo for microsoft or the Mario series for nintendo).  You may not have liked it but a lot of people do so don't feel left out or anything the games just aren't your style.

The Wii has the best games. There's only like four games I want for Xbox 360 (Soul Calibur IV, FFXIII, Banjo Kazooie 3, Lost Odyssey), since most of its games are better on PC (ex: Orange Box, Oblivion, Mass Effect). The PS3 only has two game that interests me, Soul Calibur IV and FFXIII, and both are also on 360. Their version of Force Unleashed will also probably be better.

you might as well get an Xbox 360, it's much more worth it. Wii games aren't in HD, any fighting games suck, you have to move your body all around when the whole point of video games is to play when you are tired, like after baseball or something, and it's all "family friendly". There are way better games on 360 and Xbox Live has the best online experience. It's all together better than any system out right now.

I love our Wii! I find it enjoyable because It's a lot different then the other two consoles. I also like it because it's a lot cheaper. And I can play most of the games on it with my younger siblings, who are too little for those insanely violent games taking over the other systems. I also love it because I'm actually good at the games on Nintendo systems. I've always been terrible at Playstation and Xbox games, but I can kick your butt on the N64 or Gamecube or Wii. I guess I just have problems.

So, you can hate it if you want, but the Wii is a great console. I don't really think it's aimed at hardcore gamers though. Maybe that's why you don't like it.

Each system has different features that appeal to different consumers. If somebody has been a fan of Nintendo games (Zelda, Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, Pokemon, and Mario in general,) chances are they are going to like the Wii because it is the only console to play those titles. If the consumer is more interested in HD graphics and more first person shooters and other RPGs, from my experience they will like one of the other systems better. It depends on what the consumer likes and different people like different things.
