Why do people like the acog scope on snipers so much?(in COD4)?

if you want the power of a sniper at medium/close range, ACOGS are the way to go.  I sometimes use them on smaller maps

I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's for people who like mobile sniping, instead of camping. Because the regular scopes on snipers are somewhat difficult to aim at close-close/medium range, people stick ACOGs on their snipers for mobile sniping, which lets them quickly aim/kill whoever's close in front of them.

i personally like acog scopes on snipers because if your moving around and not camping its easier to shoot and move around than a regular sniper scope so if your camping use a sniper scope if you have a sniper and want to get into the action get an acog scope
