Why do people like to be scared?

I love watching scary movies or t.v. shows but they eventually freak me out. I end up thinking there are ghosts in my house... lol... So why do people like to be scared?

the adrenaline! and i love it when my sister jumps from a wall. it makes me jump, and my whole body get's alll tingly from it:)

I love to be terrified because it gives me a strong emotion and helps me forget about all my usual superficial fears and focus only on whatever is terrifying me.

I am a fear junky. I love the feeling of adrenaline running through me like crazy, and I love the feeling of coming out on the other side of a scare and knowing that I am all right.

I guess! there is some kind of a rush attached to it.  I get a rush when I'm shopping! for shoes! I don't like to be scared, so I tend to stay away from scary movies! and haunted houses!

Everyone loves a bit of fear, even I watch a scary movie every now and then. It's probably the adrenaline, same reason why skateboarders love doing tricks and whatnot.
