Question:

Why do people line jump and then get mad when they get kicked out?

My best friend and I just got back from Kings Island, and it was math and science day so the park was flooded with kids. Most of them were line jumping, and I lost my patience when EIGHT OF THEM line jumped in front of me and my friend in line for Delirium, and I almost got my butt kicked because I chewed them out. Someone in front of us ratted them out, and they were removed from the park.

Do kids do this just to be cool in front of their friends? There are signs everywhere that it is cause for ejection from the park and the ride ops are always announcing it.

Why can't kids learn patience and respect, and wait in line like everyone else?

  1. The problem has always been bad at Kings Island, at least they did get kicked out for it.  Hopefully Cedar Fair will do a better job of monitoring this and enforcing the rule.  I have found Flight of Fear to be one of the worst line jumping attractions.

Why do they do it?  Your guess is a good as mine.  There are just some people who don't care and will do anything to get on an attraction quicker.  Most people will not say anything.  I usally let them think they got away with it and just before they get on I say something and usually they will escort them off the ride and out of the park!  I hate line jumpers!!!

  2. they do that pry because they want to hurry up and go in and stuff that's why and they are mad cuz they got busted.Hope you had alot of fun at kings island what rides did you ride?

  3. They line jump because they're selfish and irresponsible.  They get mad when they get kicked out because they're idiots.  It's possible that their selfishness and irresponsibility is a result of the fact that they're idiots.

  4. they got mad cuz they got busted...

patience is a virtue few youth have...unfortunately

  5. they have a false sense of entitlement - - they think the world revolves around them and no one else matters.

    :o)

  6. In my experience working amusement rides, I've come to learn that people line jump because they don't think they'll get caught and the people around them won't say anything.  Then when they do get caught, they're angry because they didn't get away with it.

Kids WON'T learn patience and respect; it has nothing to do with an inability to learn.  This isn't true for all of course, but to most, breaking the rules is what is fun.
