Cut themselves, I do it. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Why do other people think it's so wrong, we're hurting ourselves not them.

  1. Because its not a healthy way of dealing with it.

  2. Because there is definitely something wrong with you!

  3. Imagine months before you knew how to cut, you walked in on your mom doing it.  Then tell yourself you're only hurting yourself.  Having been in two relatioships where the lady was a cutter, I felt a deep need to intervene and stop the person I loved from doing harm to themselves.  There are other mediums to relieve that kind of tension and stress, and the root of the problem is deeper than their/your blade can go.  I'm not saying seek help, just be careful.  What I am saying is, attempt, try, and seek new ways to release that c**p you've been through and is tricking you into making you think that cutting helps.

Write.  Imagine the ink to be your blood and spill it for pages and paragraphs.  That's what I do.

  4. i asked a question about this the other day. i went to the corner store and this girl asked about my cuts. i havent cut in about four years but normally i tell them that it was a bad time in my life and i handled it wrong. i always tell them with pride on what i did so others can see the education on waht i did. whats your story if you dotn me asking

  5. people don't look down upon them, they are probably just worried. That or they just think they're emo or some other c**p. It's not anyone else's deal, but it can get pretty serious, that's why people get worried. Idk though, its their problem, not anyone elses

  6. People don't look down on you... they worry about you.

Don't believe anything the guy said on the first post. That is complete BS.

Hurting yourself in any way for any reason is not healthy. People do it to relieve stress, or to punish themselves in some way. There are other ways to deal with these emotions without causing yourself physical pain. It is not physically or emotionally healthy.

I would suggest that you see a counselor or psychologist, who would be very helpful for you to help sort out some of your problems without causing yourself physical pain.

  7. your a freak. why the h**l would you cut your self for entertainment.

  8. Because this was virtually unknown years ago. I think most people who call themselves cutters are just seeking attention, like yourself! I mean why would you just announce that publicly?

Get a hobby or something and quit seeking attention!

Those with real mental illness hide the fact, cutters brag. That's why I believe it's all about attention!

  9. For the simple fact that they don't understand why people would self harm.

They think it's only a "thing" to get attention...

They don't get the fact that cutters are suffering SO much emotionally that they feel the need to make the pain "physical" in order to stop the mental "torture". They also don't get the fact that people will "blame" themselves for having mental illnesses/or living horrible situations, and will at one point hate themselves so much that they self-injure out of punishment.

It's hard to deal with the fact that you can't control your life/mind/emotions...and people can't see how much you hurt inside so in a way, it is an "action" to physically "show" how much you hurt. It's a way to release anger/frustrations and pain (a wrong way mind you but, that's the facts...). Also, when you physically harm yourself, endorphins are released (soothing the emotional pain ) and it become an addiction that you get trapped in...

I'm not saying that it's ok to hurth yourself (don't get me wrong here...) but I think we shouldn't judge people...we can't know what they have/or are going through!

It's sad to say, but some people think they are "perfect" and will never understand what others go through...

I hope one day that you love yourself enough again to stop hurting/punnishing yourself...

    Good luck

And don't pay attention to people that say stupid comments!

  10. You do hurt others. Those around you.  My wife cuts and it tears me up inside to know that there is something that hurts her inside so bad that she has to cut to feel better or just to feel.   I ask that you please find help and find out what it is inside you that hurts so bad.  If I knew you and you were special like my wife is to me I'd hurt if you cut.

  11. Because this may seem a little strange but people acualy care! I for one do not look down on it, I think it os bad but I dont diss a person that does it, I try and help them. Even if I didnt like them I would be like ok we need to put our differences aside and help u out! If soemone is trying to help u dont say no becasue they really care for u if they speak up like that!

  12. Yeah, it's fine, in fact you are actually making your self more immune to many bacteria.  Like an immunization.

Also, If you continue, perhaps you could write a book or something on it, exspressing yourself even more...Go for it!
