it's interesting to think that there is some sort of common thread that ties all human behavior together. it's also nice because it's somewhat of an over-simplification of something incredibly complex: the human mind. it makes it seem like there is a method to our madness, and for some reason, explanations of the things we do and how we interact with our world are comforting.
