Why do people love the vampire....?

Out of all folklore and movie monsters, the vampire is the one that grabs everyones attention.

Why in your opinion, do people obsess about them?

Hmmm... Well the movie kind are all flashy and exiting.

I think it's mostly because the vampire has turned into kind of a "s**y thing". Like a tall dark and mysterious thing. Girls love it, Guys wanna be it. It's pretty awesome lol.

But for real vampires (energy/psychic) like me, I mean it's not nearly as exciting as the movie/book version lmao. I still think I'm pretty cool though lmao xD

i can't speak for anyone else but I just like the lore that goes along with vampires.  I don't obsess I just like them.

Vampires are found in the mythology of jut about every culture, somewhere behind the scenes. They have changed and morphed, but they're mostly the same.

Vampires are supposedly every human urge, instantly satisfied. They have been compared to pulsing sexuality (d**n Freud) human instinct of hunger and feeding, spiritual power of blood, revenge and wrath, power and control. They posses all the raw qualities that the most privative side of the brain strives for.

Of course, this is not true. They aren't that different from humans. In essence, humans are the vampires. They feed off of the energy, suffering, and hardships to bring themselves back up. Humans aren't meant to be happy; they're meant to make everyone else worse than them. I suppose this is why the idea of vampires is so well rooted and common. In all honesty, it's not that great.
