Why do people make such a big deal when it comes to plastic surgery??

Question

Ok so I have a huge nose. It's turned more to one side because i have a deviated septum and one nostril is a little higher than the other one and also i have a slight bump looking at my side profile of the nose. I pretty much like everything about me but this one feature ruins my whole face.

So I'm thinking about getting a nose job at 18 but people tell me that I'm shallow for thinking about it. Why do they have a problem with it?? It's my life. So my question is why do you people make such a big deal out of it?? a nose job will boost my self confidence a whole lot.

because for whatever reason plastic surgery is seen as "morally wrong".

who cares?

well if your doing it because you truly believe that it will make you feel more like yourself and be more confident then i say go for it.. but remember, if you have a child that has that same nose your gonna have to tell her and your future husband/wife why... your also gonna have to explain to her to love her nose.. but that its gonna be hella hard because you didnt and got plastic surger right?!?! im just thinking on the logical side here... now we ALL have are flaws and i think are flaws is what makes us unique.. no one is ever happy with themselves and im sure after you get your nose job your gonna find something else wrong with you and your gonna want to change that... learn to be happy with yourself from within, be confident and own what god gave you.. everyone is different and if everyone looked the same the world would be a VERY boring place.. your pretty you just got to believe it :)

People make a big deal about it becasue religious people do. God made you a certain and you're supposed to love that body. So now many people believe that it's wrong to get a nose job just to make yourself "prettier." Another reason: it shows a shallow viewpoint. It IS shallow to think that you need to get a nose job to look pretty, and even if you did (personally I don't think anyone does) it shows that you care way too much about what other people thik that you can't be happy the way that you are.

Also, just because a bunch of people do something doesn't make it right. The amount of murder is rising, does that make murder ok?

if it will boost your self confidence it shouldnt matter what other people think.

i have a deviated septum too and plan on getting a nose job. insurance will pay for it by the way.

i say do it, and dont give a f**k what other people say.

to be honest with you, i think nose jobs are 100% fine

but the thing im concerned about is implants & silicone injection

because you could get cancer and other diseases from it

but a nose job is totally okay
