One time a scientist told God he could create life from dirt. So as he reaches down to grab some dirt God says "Hey get your own dirt "

  1. Evolution is an observed, replicated, verified, established empirical and scientific fact. There is an abundance of evidence from multiple sources that apply consistently and predictably worldwide. There is no contradictory evidence – every argument raised against it has been demonstrably shown to be wrong or deliberate deception and intentionally dishonest.

More than just fact, the theory of evolution is the most powerful general explanatory model in all of science. Without it, every life science collapses and all biological knowledge is false. In fact, if evolution is false, then not only are we wrong about everything we think that we know, we have no hope of ever be certain of anything or of empirically understanding the world we live in.

This includes medical science which, if evolution were false, would be no more than voodoo and the mystical mumbo-jumbo practiced by Witch Doctors. Any creationist who goes to a modern doctor or hospital is, by definition, either a hypocrite or a closet realist. Creationists, as well as everyone, who submits to the care of a modern physician is placing their health and lives in the hands of Practitioners of Evolutionary Theory.

  2. There are lots of so called transitional fossils but you have to realize that the term has connotations to a destination.  The animals evolve because changes in their genetics make them more viable than others.  They don't evolve to become something.  Too many people see humans as the apogee of evolution.  It is simply not true.  We are evolved in our niche, and a frog is evolved in its.

  3. Sorry chum, science is not a buffet, you do not get to pick and choose what you like and don't like.

Evolutionary science is based on scientific principles using deduction, but also chemistry, physics and biology.

Anthropologists are bound by the same adherence to reason and proof that governs how your car runs (chemistry), how fast you can drive it (physics) or why creationists can't reason (biology?).

Every flu season modern medicine tries to keep up with the evolution of trillions of viruses.  Every year modern science allows billions of humans to live and reproduce when only a few thousands could live without any technology and science.

To deny evolution is to deny the existence of science.  i doubt you are prepared for that.

There does not have to be a chasm between faith and reason.  Numerous religious universities teach science without compromising faith.  The Catholic pope believes in evolution.

It is unreasonable and illogical to accept the fruits of modern civilization (including the electronic wonder you are typing into) but to deny the pervasive and inclusive truth of scientific reality.

God is by definition supernatural, which means "beyond nature", which means beyond science's ability to quantify.

Science limits itself to the natural universe.

There is plenty of territory beyond the natural universe that you can populate with any supenatural being(s) you wish.

  4. There are tons of transitional fossils.  in fact, any fossil could be described as a transitional fossil.

  5. Of course there are transitional fossils. What else would you call an Australopithicene, or a Neanderthal? But there's the problem, of course. "Transitional" is a misnomer within the nomenclature of evolution, since there aren't any real transitional species. Each organism is itself, and it's either fit or it isn't, it either passes on genes or it doesn't. There aren't any organisms whose sole purpose is to be a place marker between two different kinds of organisms. Either ALL organisms are transitional, or NONE of them are.

When we study the fossil record, we call some fossils transitional, but that's just nomenclature to help us understand what's going on. The fossil record clearly shows the evolution of the physical forms of organisms that share relationships over time, and it's possible to make guesses about what those changes meant. Some of those guesses are no-brainer, really great, well supported guesses. Some of them aren't. Some leave us scratching our heads.

Trying to prove whether or not transitional fossils exist or not isn't the point. What you're arguing here is that what seems to be a clear progression of slightly different forms is not that at all. If you're trying to make that argument, please bring evidence, or some kind of cogent reason for doing so. Thanks.

  6. Why do people mess with Creationism when it's filled with lies and distortions?  Look, it's real cute that you think you know more than 150 years' worth of Nobel prize winning scientists and laypeople.  Why don't you try actually reading their works and understanding what they say before spouting this bullsh!t?  There's a reason so many people think most creationists are morons; it's because you don't actually know what you're talking about.

When religions meets up with facts that don't coincide with its doctrine, they respond by trying to cover up the facts.  See Galileo for a famous example.  When science meets up with facts that don't coincide with previous theories, everyone gets really excited and thinks of new theories.  See the last 400 years, but with particular attention to Newton, Einstein, Harvey, and Darwin and the changes in evolutionary theory since then.  It moves slowly sometimes, but truth always outs in science.  Science and religion are completely different, which is how many religious people have no problem with science and vice versa.  You are making a huge mistake in believing them to be the same.  And congratulations on that idea.  By thinking science is some kind of monolith where everyone has to believe the same thing or is cast out, you've put yourself in the same position as the people who think aliens made the pyramids, that Atlantis really exists, and that they're totally receiving transmissions from Alpha Centauri.  Again, cute.

  7. I've noticed creationists love to make up stories, add in God, then pretend they have a point.  You must get that from somewhere, maybe something you've been reading....

  8. The last clearly know mutation occurred aproximately 3000 years ago among people of northern Europe. They develped a gene which stops the turning off of milk digestion. ( most people are lactose intolerant). A gene like this would not show up in a fossil.

Neither would the genes involved which allowed certain primates to digest protein so they could eat meat rather than fruits.
