Why do people need to drag race you when you try to merge with traffic to get onto the high way?.?

NY drivers suck they have absolutely no courtesy at all, when I go to PA the people their are so mush better at driving.

because you have no reason to be in front of me, I was there before you and I'm driving perfect and safe, and if you get in front of me I might have to follow you and maybe you will slow down, or slow down in front of me at a green light forcing me to stop when the light changes

It's like that any any big city. Too many douchebags that think the 3 seconds they gain by driving like an asshat is going to make a big difference in the rest of the day, or, chances are they are just taking out their frustrations of a sucky work and home life out on others on the road.

Agree with your NY view, can't speak for PA, but my

bumper sticker reads:" This Vehicles Drives Slow When Owner Is Re-Loading".   NY made its own bed so any

comfort related issues rest with same voters.

When you are coming off a ramp,  it is your duty to yield to the cars already on the highway.    Match your speed to the one next to you,  then fall back and tuck in neatly behind them.

This points to one of the reasons tailgating needs to be more strictly enforced.   Leaving room between cars also means room for others to slide in safely.

What I find to be most entertaining is when people get to the bottom of the ramp, then they look up & see me in a giant semi truck. Then they panic & start down the shoulder as if it was my fault they failed to speed up or slow down. The reality is that it's stupidity. Drivers in CA or NY are just as bad in Chicago. I wish people did drag race down the ramp. That way I know where they are. I'd rather them be in front of me so I can see their incompetence.

I know, I'm from California and it's no better here.  It's like either go slower than me or faster than me if you want to merge, but do not go the same speed as me!  If I'm not the one merging I shouldn't have to adjust my speed.

Its all about location. People in larger cities have more traffic, So they tend to be more aggresive then us smaller city commuters. I know when i'm on the highway, (In the right lane) i tend to even more over to the left lane (When able to) just to let the traffic coming up the on ramp get onto the highway without having to stop (Which ironiclly, Most don't, They just gun it and hope they get in). And yes, I've experianced my fair share of NY/NJ drivers, Tbh i can't stand NY'er drivers because they are so aggresive when it comes to driving, That they will dart across 3 lanes to get over to the exit.

Because they're IDIOTS....many people seem to think you're drag racing.  Usually the little cars with mufflers that have the large openings that I'm just dying to stuff a grapefruit into!!!!!
