  1. they crowd your teeth and cut into your gums. My mother had mine removed when I was 16 before they became a problem. afterwards the rest of my teeth had more breathing room and even though I only had one crooked tooth because my teeth were always pretty straight that one straightened out mostly but stayed kinda crooked but not much. i call it the Jones tooth because my grandma, mom and I all have the same one tooth crooked.

  2. So they don't get too wise...

kidding, it's because they s***w up some people's teeth or make them chew the inside of their mouth which hurts.

  3. The most common reason is that there simply isn't space for them.  This causes them to crowd your other teeth, pushing them out of line as they force their way in; this causes problems biting and chewing, as well as being visually unappealing.  This also encourages the back teeth to rot, as it becomes even more difficult to clean them due to the limited space.  The wisdom teeth themselves frequently only can partially erupt, or erupt crooked -- think of chewing your own cheeks as you try to eat, because your wisdom teeth are poking out into them. Ow!

The earlier this is done -- once the dentist determines that you're one of the majority who need it -- the better. The longer you wait, the more your teeth go askew, and the deeper the roots grow so the more difficult/painful it becomes to extract them.

  4. hello there!

I asked the same question along time ago. People need to get them removed because of tooth alignment. If you let the teeth grow in, there isnt enough space for them to come in. Once they are all the way in, your other teeth will become crooked, and teeth will start sliding behind or infront of one another, creating chaos in the mouth. There are a few percentage of people who dont need theirs out. (this is a very rare ocassion though, dont count on it!) hope this helps!
