  1. For the same reason people don't care about a lot of things. Most people (not just those from Yale) no longer care about most things that cause injury to others.

We have adopted the philosophies of "live and let live" and "it's okay as long as no one gets hurt."  Unfortunately everyone's definition is different regarding who that other person is who could get hurt. We, as a society, are so self-focused that we can't see how much we are actually hurting other people and our culture as a whole--and we don't care that we don't see anyone but ourself.

  2. The guys from my neighborhood help each other get jobs as firemen and police (or other Union Job).

I imagine the college boy set helps their friends just as much.

As long as my friend get our jobs, we don't put our noses in the business of those Yale boys.

  3. Politicians have the choice to appoint frat brothers in juicy and critical positions but they must be qualified.

  4. If they are qualified for the jobs---ok, why not---but what I oppose is giving out big contracts to their buddies and not alloweing other companies to bid on that---that I think really should be ousted as an offense of sorts........
