  1. Swimming is kinda boring. I've been swimming all my life, and if I'm not in a race or know someone that is, I don't even watch it.

The only time I will watch swimming for fun is in the olympics. Swimming, Track, cross country, and other "racing" sports are less enjoyable than team sports such as basketball, football, futball, and I hate to say it, but baseball too.

Team sports have much more going on for people to watch, as opposed to simply one person racing another. Over and over, for 1650 yards.

  2. it is a sport  its just that not everyone has the luxury to have a swimming pool at home to train themselves you know but for those swimming enthusiast...it is a sport and a hard sport because it is not as easy as what you see ...it takes a lot of decipline and perseverance ...once you will familiarize the rules of swimming and know everything about the sport you'll see that it is not an ordinary sport

  3. They have never been through a high school ar collge season.  They have never had to go to two-a-days and school at the same time.  They have never had that much phycological or physical or mental pressure on them.  They have never been that exhausted.  They see us swim a 50 in 25 seconds, and they say I could go faster when really they would go a minute 20.  Thjey lay in the water.   They think the water is warm and great when really they have never been through what we go through constantly.

  4. swimming is not a sport, its just a way to avoid drowning

  5. because they've never tried it.

  6. It's basically a very boring activity - but it's also one of the best because all your muscle groups are working, it's excellent cardiovacular stuff and you don't put stress on your knees (as you do  in jogging for instance). I've been practicing this sport forever it seems and I'll continue as long as I can.
