I see loads of people crossing the road on a red light in hull where i live and the people don't have a care for the vehicle's coming upto the road crossing the road when the people are walking across. It is also the case in the street when you cross the road on a busy road you are not meant to cross the road there its far enough if the driver of the car is drunk and unable to drive a car correctly then he is at fault if he kills someone

  1. Once again, I'd worry more about your grammar than waiting for the little green man. If you can walk as fast as you write, you'll outrun any oncoming vehicle.

Seriously, pedestrians (my dear old grandfather used to call them "pestrians" with good reason) have this false sense of security in thinking they are invincible. They are not. Their a*s*s*e*s will splatter just as messily as a driver's if they are

hit. They just seem to think you and I will stop for them, whether or not they are in the right. I may stop for them, but I enjoy scaring the s--t out of them just a little.

  2. this is a modern problem. sadly it's a case of people not worrying about others and being engrossed in own selfish  desires. from being distracted with other thoughts to downright 'up yours' attitude.

It is simply reflection of today's society. technically they can be fined but as this NEVER happens you can see perhaps why folk assume they have right of way on the roads and not the cars!!

  3. green man.........I cant wait for green man, he will take me away,

  4. Why should I wait for the little green man? He's not even with me, the creepy little git!

  5. were to busy

  6. Because they are stupid today i saw some people cross the road on a red light and a car was comming at them and it had to break hard

it's the same with level crossings all the barriers will be down but people will still jump them and cross it and someone recently did that and tragically got killed because they were in a rush and their foot got caught

  7. People are too impatient to wait.  Many people lead busy lives these days, not that its an excuse.

Besides, hows a red light going to stop some drunk driver killing someone?  I think you might possibly be even more likely to be knocked over at a crossing, because you are lulled into a sense of security and you just expect cars to stop for you, but they might not.  If you're crossing without the green man then you're likely to be more aware because you've got to watch out for cars because you know they won't stop.

Some people are just idiots though, like chavs.  Maybe they deserve to be run over if they're just messing around in the middle of the road.

  8. It happens everywhere, people just dont think of what "might happen" but rather are multi-tasking or have other things on their minds and they all know that the vehicle must yield the right-of-way to them so many just dont care.......
