Why do people obsess over dressing up for the First day of school?

and it's school. i just wanna know why, nothing mean, just curious

  2. to make a good first impression to everyone including teachers so that they wont hate them and for the new people

  3. dressing up for the first couple days of school is a big thing. It's when you show all your friends your new wardrobe. the first couple weeks of school are more about fashion and less about books for some kids.

  4. (Most) People "obsess" over their outfit for the first day of school because even if they know almost everybody, they are still making first impressions on new teachers and new friends. I am not saying ti is everything but appearance is important and as they say : "first impressions can last a lifetime",  

  5. So you can wear the new clothes that you bought when you went back to school shopping.

    I think it's pointless to dress up for just one day..

  7. Because they think things will be different (better) if they find the perfect top the go with their new Jonas Brothers backpack and Little Miss Prostitute Heels.

    These are some insecure and anxious people and they don't have anything better to worry about. I'm the same way, except right now I'm worrying about where did I put my wallet? WHAT IF IT WAS STOLEN OH GOD MY IDENTITY IS GONE FOREVER.

    And that would make for a terrible Y!A question.

  8. Attention, making a good impression, etc.  The thing in high school that always cracked me up was when girls would dress super fancily on their birthdays...

  11. To me it's just another typical day at school. Some people just get WAY to serious about it. Some start planing what their going to wear 2 - 3 weeks before school starts.

  13. Cause it's fun. Do it while you can, cause by college nobody cares and beyond that it's all business suits or uniforms.
