  1. it intensifies the buzz  I believe. When I got drunk oh back in high school I didn't smoke but had friends that did there for I smoked and that made the buzz more stronger

  2. Good question:  Alcohol IS a depressant, but it's also a vasodilator, which means that it dilates the blood vessels throughout the body.....that's why when you've been drinking alcohol, you get "bloodshot" eyes and a flushed facial look.  And in the lungs, the same thing happens....after a couple drinks, the dilation of the pulmonary venous structure gives people the "urge" for a smoke......

  3. Because alcohol is a depressant and nicotine is a stimulant.  It prolongs the buzz.

You could also argue that since alcohol lessens inhibitions, someone who knows better is more inclined to smoke with friends who do.

  4. because they like that continuous head rush.

  5. too much alcohol makes one feel worthless and sad. smoking afterwords helps calm you down and give your mind a relaxation period.
