Why do people on here make such a fuss over kids who drop out?

I've only just dropped out of school literally. Today was my last day.....why do people on here make such a fuss? (Oh and please no mentioning of 'GED's as I'm moving to Aus! =])

It's not the smarts or the grades that count in life, it's the ability to handle the problems that are dealt out to you. People who drop out are those who are not dealing with their problems, of whatever kind. And that spells trouble. Mature people learn to overcome the problems and difficulties they encounter, whether it's a bad teacher, difficult schoolwork, a physical handicap, or any number of other things. Wise people understand that dropping out is only the beginning of bad things to come, and that's why they make such a fuss over it.

Dropping out of highschool is a serious dilemma that affects you for a long period of time. If you want a certain job really really bad, and they look at your line of education, well it may (possibly) hurt your chances.

When people hear you drop out, they may assume you're not very smart, you may have trouble with authority, you brought drugs to school, you're associated with gangs, and so much more.

Although it's wrong on their part to even jump towards conclusions, it's also very unfortunate that such a thing happened.

It's also a pride factor too. If someone were to say, "I graduated as a valedictorian from my highschool and was accepted at Princeton!" Well...yeah. -.-

because those are the people who dont lik to wrok and wont get a ggood job and make hardly any money and sometimes end up homeless... do you want more homeless on the street?

Because although it is possible to make yourself a good living without staying in school, there's a greater chance of a good career the longer you learn for.

As long as you are committed and work hard though, there are many people who have dropped out of formal education, started at the bottom of a company and worked their way up to a great career.  Just be mature about it and don't lose sight of your goal.
