Question:

Why do people park next to me when I'm waaaaay in the back of an empty lot?

Whenever I get a new car, I don't like it to get scratched for at least the first few months that I own it.

So I usually try to park waaaaay in the back, so that there are at least 20 open spaces between me and the next furthest car.

Then when I go into the store and rush back out after a few minutes, there's always some idiot parked inches away from from my car with some piece of c**p.

One time, I came out and there was a guy in a big@ss mini-van unloading his stroller next to my car and bumped my car with it.

Why the f*ck didn't he park in one of the 50 closer spots with absolutely no cars next to it so he could have more room and not have to walk as far?

Are people freaking doing this on purpose?

  1. They are morons. Just like all the people who answered so far.

  2. That's life. Some people just don't get the message of an open parking lot. There's nothing you can do about that, unless you actually do know if they ruined your car by a scratch or so, then you can complain about that.

Else, there's nothing else you can really complain about. A parking spot is a spot, no matter how close or far in the parking lot it is from your car.

    It's sad but true.

    Hope that answers.

  3. Do you feel better now you have got that

    off your chest ?

And as for your car - life is a *****, get

    over it.

  4. that is exactly the reason I don't stress over scratches on my car....I don't know why people park this way, but it is not worth the stress. The car is GONNA GET DINGED...... RELAX.

    meow

  5. Some people like to park way in the back, for different reasons.  You are one of them.

Some people like to park next to another car or some kind of structure to give them "cover" for whatever reason.  The guy in the mini-van may have been one of them.

He was wrong in bumping your car with his stroller, but I seriously doubt he parked next to your new car planning to damage your car.

Thank you for not taking up two spaces, though.

  6. Maybe they figure that if they park next to your car, that at least a shopping cart won't roll into their car on that side.

Maybe they want to walk for the excercise.

Honestly, there is no rule that one must leave empty parking spots between cars, so you've got nothing to complain about.

  7. I know, and sympathize, esp about the huge suv that blocks your vision when there are so many other spots available.  I once had a driver honk his horn at me  because I was sitting with the door open and he wanted to park next to me and I was a quarter mile from the store!  Not that I'd ever do anything but it makes you understand the motivation behind road rage.
